The 12 Days of Diestel

Posts Friday, December 11th

This time of year, your fridge is probably ready to re-button its pants—now that the Tupperwares packed tightly with creamed corn, green bean casserole, and sweet potato pie have been emptied and tucked neatly away. (And obviously the turkey was the first to go.)

With another holiday just around the corner—if you’re like us, at least—you’re already counting down to your next opportunity to pile the table so high its legs begin to buckle. We see you.

But if you’re like us, then you know it can be tough to pick favorites, too. With so many delicious Diestel family favorites, how could you possibly choose just a handful to put on your wish list this season?

It’s simple: Don’t. Let’s count them out together with the Twelve Days of Diestel! And don’t worry—we’ll spare you the countdown back to one every time; you know how to scroll.

On the first day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me a Pecan Smoked Turkey.

Pecan. Pecan. Let’s call the whole thing off—and sit down to the out-of-this-world flavor of a premium Diestel Family Ranch bird that’s been slow roasted over pecan hardwoods. The smells? They’re free.

On the second day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me a Holiday Cook-in-Bag Roast.

It’s great for the holidays, during the holidays, before the holidays, and, dare we say it, after the holidays. The best part? All of the brining, seasoning, and prep is already done, so all you’ve got to do is heat it and eat it.

On the third day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me a Pasture-Raised Whole Turkey.

This bad (good) boy was the first turkey to earn the GAP Step 5 rating, and it doesn’t get any better than that—in terms of farming or flavor. Let your imagination wander while your bird is in the oven. No matter where it takes you, the taste of this one will take you further.

On the fourth day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me an American Heirloom Whole Turkey.

If you want the OG of turkeys, this is the one you want. These Auburn, Black, and American Bronze beauties are rare breeds that’ve been around for hundreds of years. Just think how great they’ll taste when they’ve had so long to fine tune their flavor!

On the fifth day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me a Fra’ Mani Brined & Seasoned Whole Turkey.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: this bird is a situation. Made in partnership with Chef Paul Bertolli of Fra’ Mani Handcrafted Foods, this bird is brined, seasoned, and ready for the oven—and a mouthwatering meal you’ll never forget.

On the sixth day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me an Organic Oven Roasted Whole Turkey.

If you’re craving meat and want to eat—but without the headache of having to actually cook—then the Organic Oven Roasted Whole Turkey is for you. It’s anywhere from 6 to 14 pounds of lean, clean, delicious protein—pre-rubbed, pre-cooked, and prepared with your appetite in mind.

On the seventh day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me an Organic Whole Turkey.

Want to put the work in yourself? Then roasting an Organic Whole Turkey is your answer. And if you’re not sure where to start, take a look at our website for a little inspiration. There’s more than enough to get your hunger going.

On the eighth day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me a Bone-In Turkey Breast.

When you want fresh turkey flavor in a fraction of the time, the Bone-In Breast is your bird. It makes a great mid-week meal when you’re not up to the task of a full Tom, or else a midnight snack when your appetite’s feeling naughty.

On the ninth day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me Italian Turkey Sausage (in stuffing)!

Who doesn’t love stuffing? Make it bread worth going bonkers for with the outrageous taste of our Italian Turkey Sausage. It’ll leave you and yours saying, “Mama mia, is there more?”

On the tenth day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me Breakfast Turkey Sausage.

Forget the crappy coffee; make breakfast the best part of waking up. Wrap it up in your breakfast burrito, stir it into your morning hash, or press it into patties and go nuts. No matter how you take it, you’ll be glad you did.

On the eleventh day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me Uncured Turkey Bacon.

Yeah, we said bacon. Can you smell it? Can you taste it? A little salty, a little sweet, and 100% undeniably irresistible? We’ll leave it at that.

Uncured Turkey Bacon

On the twelfth day of Diestel, my tummy craved for me our Uncured Turkey Franks.

After all, it just spent eleven days cooking up a storm—no wonder it’s in the mood for something easy and ecstasy-invoking. They’re no humble hot dogs, either; our franks are made with the best damn turkey money can buy, so they’ve got the premium taste and texture you crave.
