Ground Turkey Teriyaki

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 3 tsp Minced garlic
  • 2 tsp Ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp Corn Starch
  • 2 tbsp Warm water
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • Onion (diced)
  • 2 tbsp Minced garlic
  • 1 cup Broccoli
  • Bell pepper (diced)
  • Green onions (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • 4 cups Cooked white or brown rice

Directions

  1. Mix the soy sauce, 1/4 cup water, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic and ginger in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the corn starch and warm water until well combined. Slowly whisk in this mixture to your saucepan. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat and add the ground turkey. Cook until browned.
  4. Push the turkey aside and add your veggies to the pan. Stir frequently until all vegetables are softened.
  5. Pour teriyaki sauce over the ground turkey and vegetables and stir until well coated. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve over white or brown rice. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
