Barbecued Turkey Cheeseburgers


The lowfat turkey burger that tops its competition. Enjoy in good health!

  • 1 1/2 lbs. Diestel Ground Turkey
  • 4 oz. cheese, julienned
  • 1/4 cup waxed peppers*; seeded and julienned
  • *Use more or less, depending on your taste. For tame appetites, omit and enjoy a wonderful cheese burger


  1. Distribute ground turkey into four even portions.
  2. Split each portion in half.
  3. Shape one half into a patty the shape of the bun or French roll being used.
  4. Layer the cheese and waxed pepper strips evenly on the top, leaving 1/4 inch around edges.
  5. Top with the remaining ground turkey and pat out to seal the edges.
  6. Barbecue or grill on both sides until no pink remains in the center.
  7. Serve on buns with your favorite condiments.

Cheese suggestions: cheddar or jack.
