Cheddar Turkey Bacon Breakfast Biscuits

With school back in session, mornings are getting busier and more hectic. These Cheddar Turkey Bacon Breakfast Biscuits are great to enjoy on the go or with a big cup of coffee.

  • 6 slices Diestel Turkey Bacon
  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped chives
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 butter (frozen)
  • 1 3/4 cups buttermilk


  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, prepare your Turkey Bacon. Let cool and then chop bacon into crumbles.
  3. In a large bowl, combine bacon, flour, cheese, chives, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
  4. Grate the frozen butter and stir into the flour mixture.
  5. Add the buttermilk and stir until a dough forms.
  6. Flour your surface and then roll out the dough to 1.5 inches of thickness.
  7. Use a biscuit cutter to cut into pieces.
  8. Place biscuits on your baking sheet and place in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  9. Place into oven and bake for 16 minutes.
