Three Ways to Complete Your Quest for the Holy Grill

Posts Tuesday, June 23rd

Do you know what time it is?

There’s a backyard somewhere calling your name, the sun is higher than the Big Lebowski, and the air is thick with the smell of smoldering charcoal briquettes.

That’s right. It’s grilling time.

Nobody loves grilling season like Diestel Family Ranch. It’s the perfect time to kick back, relax, and test drive all of the outrageous recipes we’ve been kicking around all winter long.

Here are three of our favorite ways to worship at the altar of flavor (er, you know… the grill).

On Our Favorite Burger

We know what you’re thinking: “Really, Heidi? Turkey burgers? That’s your hot take? I’ve had a turkey burger before…”

Hold your hot dog, mister. You’ve never had a turkey burger like this before.

Sure, the humble hamburger makes a foolproof fallback plan when the weather turns warm and the grill gets going, but this Diestel family favorite (which we’ve cleverly named Our Favorite Burger) is packed with more mouthwatering flavor than you ever would’ve thought could fit on a bun.

Oh, I see. Now you’re listening…

So what’s the secret? It’s in the patty. And by “it” we mean avocado, onion, mayonnaise, sriracha, worcestershire sauce, and a few simple spices. Mash ‘em up and mix them into your ground turkey before forming it into burgers, and you’ll be rewarded with a thick, juicy, dare we say perfect patty that you’ll soon be calling your favorite burger, too.

Check out the recipe for Our Favorite Burger.

With Alabama White Sauce

Now we’re talkin’.

Alabama White Sauce is a white barbecue sauce that’s tangy, as hot (or mild) as you want it to be, and guaranteed to make your turkey sing.

It’s easy to whip up, too. We make ours with mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, hot chili paste, worcestershire sauce, crushed red pepper flakes, a little cayenne, and a pinch each of salt and black pepper.

Our mouths are watering just writing about it. On the upside, at least I know what we’re having for dinner…

We like it on our turkey tenderloin, but you can bet it tastes great slathered on just about anything. Hell, I’d put Alabama White Sauce on Alabama White Sauce if I could.

Without Doing Anything at All

One of the best ways to get grilled turkey? Without all the fuss.

“And how might I do that,” you ask? With our Naturally Smoked Whole Turkey. It’s a craveworthy premium Diestel Family Ranch bird that we’ve taken the trouble of smoking over real hardwoods, so all you’ve got to do is heat it and eat it.

That means all that time you might’ve otherwise spent hacking your way through a hickory tree, whittling it into hundreds of thousands of uniform chips, and heating up your smoker is free for dreaming up all the things you’d like to do to it—like smothering it with barbecue sauce and tearing it apart.

Yeah, that sounds about right.
